The Nutrition Service Coordinator I manages a single non-cooking nutrition center effectively so that seniors benefit from the meal and the social contact available to them in a meal site setting. Responsible for overall coordination and distribution of meals. This position is also responsible for recruiting individuals to help with the various volunteer jobs at the meal site.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience with food purchasing, preparation and planning for large quantities.
Customer service and/or public speaking experience a plus.
Experience working with volunteers a plus.
Must have basic computer skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Applications.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of participants.
Can maintain safe and sanitary work habits.
Must have Serve Safe Certification or within 6 months of date of hire. Certification must be maintained if work site does not have a head cook on site.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on your own and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
Must have the ability to travel as job requires. Special circumstance accommodations may be made at Program Director or CEO’s discretion.
Part-Time: Monday – Thursday, 10:00am – 12:00pm
